Mechanism of Action

Ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) that acts through the following pathway:

It binds selectively to GHS‑R1a receptors in the pituitary gland and hypothalamus, activating intracellular signaling pathways.
This stimulates physiological, pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH) from somatotrophs.
It also mildly inhibits somatostatin, the hormone that suppresses GH secretion, further supporting natural GH pulses.
Increased GH levels stimulate the liver to produce more IGF‑1, which mediates anabolic, lipolytic, and tissue‑regenerative effects.
