Selank (CAS: 129954-34-3) is a synthetic heptapeptide (7 amino acids) developed by the Institute of Molecular Genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences. It is a stabilized analog of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), engineered for antianxiety, nootropic, neuroprotective, and immunomodulatory effects. It is approved in Russia for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and neurasthenia (nervous exhaustion).
